The Watch Shop
The Only Wearable You’re Allowed
At OCS your watch is your schedule, your pacing tool on timed runs, and your land-nav backup — and it’s the one piece of tech you’re permitted to wear. The rules are strict, and showing up with the wrong one means surrendering it to the contraband locker.

The official watch rule
Per the OCS pre-ship letter: one watch, water-resistant and rugged, in black, coyote tan, or olive drab green. It must be a non-smart digital watch — the letter names the Casio G-Shock and Timex Ironman as examples. A “smartwatch” is anything with wireless communication: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, or data sync. That bans the Apple Watch, Fitbit, and every Garmin. Full rules on the official packing list.
Authorized at OCS

Banned at OCS, beloved at The Basic School — where GPS on your wrist during land nav changes your life.

Garmin Foretrex 401 Waterproof Hiking GPS
The wrist-top GPS every TBS lieutenant covets for land nav. GPS puts it squarely in banned-at-OCS territory — buy it for Quantico's second act, not your candidacy.
